REPRESENTATIVE BOB SUMP

Representative Bob Sump, R-Republic, will retire from the Legislature in December when his term expires; the House introduced and passed a House Resolution 4712 honoring Sump for his work on behalf of the 7TH District and the state. Representative Joel Kretz, R-Wauconda, said, “Sump always served as the model of integrity and honesty. Both sides of the aisle praised him for his unwavering dedication to making the state a better place.” Sump has a degree in theology and plans to enter the ministry in Republic. He and his wife, Brenda, have three children, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
